Two members of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) were among passengers of a commercial vehicle enrounte PortHarcourt from Lagos who were kidnapped yesterday June 18,2019 at Ndele junction Emohua axis of the East West road in Rivers state,Nigeria Revelation Agents has learnt
An eyewitness had told Radio 92.3 Nigeria Info that the vehicle passengers were kidnapped close to a Police check point but the Police never chased the kidnappers
The two NYSC bound persons were going to NYSC camp in Rivers state
The spokesperson of Rivets state Police command,Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the incident saying that some passengers escaped from the kidnappers and the vehicle have been recovered
He added that the kidnappers took the driver and 3 other persons into the bush
Yesterday June 18,2019 Revelation Agents has reported how kidnappers barricaded Oduoha junction in Emohua axis of the East West road
In a text message to Revelation Agents later in the day,the Police spokesperson Omoni Nnamdi said “the road has been cleared pls”
The Emohua axis of the East West road has become very notorious for kidnapping in recent times
