The Consumers Protection Council, CPC says it welcomes the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) announcement to sanction mobile network in respect to unsolicited mobile added vale subscription and unlawful deductions from consumers
A statement released by CPC and signed by the Director General of CPC, Babatude Irukera read that this yet, important initiative to protect consumer was the outcome of a long and comprehensive audit of industry wide is laudable and corroborates the validity and accuracy of insistent and persistent consumer dissatisfaction and complaints as regards to these issues
The Director General OF CPC stated that while commending the NCC for this efforts and intervention, the CPC assures the commission of its abiding efforts to improve consumers experience in telecommunications sector and determination to continue enduring partnership with the commission to accomplish this objective continue
The CPC statement added that it look forward to an effective enforcement of applicable standards and principle of transparency, fairness and responsiveness with regards to these and other within the sector
