The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State,CP Olugbenga Adepoju and his Management team on Thursday 30th January,2025 hosted members of Crime Correspondents in the state to a luncheon.
In his opening remarks,CP Adepoju said “We are celebrating the press to show our appreciation for what they are doing in terms of promoting the good works of the Police.
“Continue to project us in good light and tell people our successes.
“One of the ways to show, we value you, is to celebrate you. You have been very good partners and very useful”
In his vote of thanks,Mr Amadi Okujobi,Vice Chairman of Police Press Corps stated it is a good gesture by the CP to honour the crime reporters.
Mr Amadi said “the confidence the Police has bestowed on us will spur us to continue to ensure Rivers state Police Command is projected in goodlight and make people to know that the state is peaceful knowing the position the state occupy in economy of the nation.
“We will not stop to give the Police the required support.We will continue to pray the CP Succeeds”.

Our correspondents reports that the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Finance and Administration,DCP Samuel Erale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations,DCP Al-Hassan Kawu,Deputy Commissioner of Police incharge of State Criminal Investigation And Intelligence Department(SCIID) DCP Sirajo Lukman,Area Commanders,Divisional Police Officers,Head of Tactical units,members of Crime correspondents were all in attendance .
