The Pinnacle Times online (newspaper publication) has pledged improved service delivery in the business of infomation dissemination on digital platform anchored on responsible and ethical Journalism practice
This was contained in a statement by the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the online publication, Mr.
Olawale Lamina Kazeem on the occasion on the first anniversary of the online newspaper publication on Friday 14, February, 2025.
Mr.Olawale commended his editorial team members, especially those who had exhibited commitment since inception for braving the odds and for their contributions towards the daily production of online stories serving various public interests.
In like manner, the Editor-in-Chief appreciated contributors, including columnists, volunteers and freelancers who jointly ensured the success of unbroken daily publication in the last one year, apart from members of the technical and virtual staff.
” We have course to thank God and celebrate as we turn a year in the business of offering daily news and marketing services to our customers/ advertisers and readers nationwide and beyond.
“A year for us is like Neil Armstrong puts it: ” It’s a step for a man, a giant leap for mankind.” We would never forget the meaningful impacts of our supporters and professional colleagues in ensuring we deliver on our social responsibility and in seeking to enshrine the culture of accountability, development and promoting democracy in the land.
“We know full well that the public has the right to know and from the perspectives of factual presentation to make an informed decision for daily living, business and choices. With necessary support, we would remain consistent in dicharging our constitutional right to the members of the public.
” We shall continue to stand for ethical Journalism, promoting and advocating inclusion for Persons With Disabilities, PWD, and special needs groups in the society, often less cared for or abandoned, even as we continue to stick to presenting facts the way they are for the general good, ” Olawale stated.
He seized the opportunity to call for a more professional approach to online publishing business by ensuring that media practitioners, graduates of Mass Communication and Journalism take advantage to bring innovation and professionalism to the practice. He emphasized that this is one of the ways to ensure quackery is eliminated as well as fake news and thier purveyors.
Olawale equally charged credible online editors and publishers associations to ensure that practitioners play by the rules and don’t become prey in the hands of “use and dump” politicians.
He noted that infographics, analytics, well-researched and verifiable information will continue to promote the ideals of development Journalism, in the quest to achieve balance and enthrone social-respinsibility to the society.
The Pinnacle Times is a daily online newspaper publication which focuses on variesd human interest stories including Politics, Development, Education, Inclusion Advocacy, Sports, Entertainment and other general interest offerings.
