Government Secondary School (GSS),Borikiri,PortHarcourt, Old Boys Association,Noble 93 class,on Sunday ,16th February,2025 elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the organization for the next three Years.
The Returning officer in the election, Pastor Apollos James at the end of the exercise announced the following as winners:
President-Lekara Luck Mueka
Vice President-Opuowei Daniel Zitimiyola
Secretary General -Boma Inimgba
Financial Secretary-Tamunoibuomie Loveday
Treasurer- Wison Daka
Public Relations Officer-Adama Stephen Edewor
Provost-Alabaka Idoniboye
In an interview with Journalists,Mr Lekara Mueka who emerged as the Chairman, thanked the members for electing them and their show of love
He said “we are doing well,the plans i have first, is to build upon what has been built already.To make it look better and stronger.We are plenty,.We will see how to bring those who are not here together and know why they are not here.
“We will keep pushing together as a people and as noble brothers as we were when we were classmates.We will ensure that every noble brother who is within our reach and needs support,will be supported and assisted
“For those of us who did not win today, you will work with this Government.We are not here to rule you but to lead you.This Government is your Government.Without you we cannot survive.Let us forgive anybody that has offended us and move ahead.
“We are classmates,friends,brothers .We dont have all it takes to lead you.We need you to support us.Feel free to always correct us if we go wrong”.
A lawyer, Onuoha Goodness,Esq,Secreatary of Legal Care Advocacy Foundation who monitored the election commended the candidates for conducting themselves properly before, during and after the election.
She described the election as transparent and devoid of manipulation.
In an interview with Journalists,Godwill Josiah,the Chairman of the Electoral Committee said they did a good job to ensure the process was fair,credible and transparent.
Mr Josaih urged the new executives to carry everybody along .
