The Rivers State Governor,Siminalayi Fubara has invited the Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule and twenty-six other members to a meeting.
In a letter dated Friday,7th March 2025 which was written onbehalf of the Governor, by Secretary to the State Government,Tammy Wenike Danagogo addressed to Martins Amaewhule said in assurance of keeping to his promise in an earlier letter dated 5th March 2025,the Governor has received the supreme court judgement and hereby invites the house of Assembly members to a meeting in Government house,Governor’s office at 10:00am on Monday,10th March,2025.
The Governor stated that the meeting aims to discuss provision of befitting place for sitting for the House of Assembly,payment of owed allowances,presentation of budget and any sundry matters.
Recall that following the Supreme court judgement that recognized Martins Amaewhule as Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly,the Assembly wrote to Governor Fubara to re-present budget for 2025 and resubmit names of Commissioners for screening.
