At Tuesday’s plenary, 11th March,2025  the House of Representatives took decisive action on key national issues, demanding the immediate suspension of increased ATM transaction charges, citing concerns over their impact on citizens.

The Special Committee on Finance laid its reports on four critical tax reform bills, while a significant bill for the recognition and protection of human rights defenders passed Second Reading.

Additionally, the House ordered a probe into the state of oil and gas pipelines to enhance energy security nationwide by a newly constituted Ad-Hoc Committee, chaired by Rep Henry Okojie (APC, Edo) and Rep. Mustapha Ghali (NNPP, Kano).

Members also took a firm stance on human rights, calling for the release of innocent Okuama community detainees while urging rebuilding efforts to restore normalcy.
