In continuation of the door to door sensitization of voters by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) in collaboration with Greater Women and Youth Support Forum(GWAYSF),members of INEC door to door sensitization moved to Asari-Toru, Akuku-Toru and Degema local Government areas Today with a call on voters,political parties and their candidates to work towards peaceful elections in Rivers state

The sensitization team landed first at Buguma headquarters of Asari-Toru local government area and had a brief discussions with the Electoral Officer of the LGA,Glenn Ukomadu who commended the team for the good work they are doing

The INEC/GWAYSF also attended a stakeholders meeting at Abonema comprising of INEC,security agents,political parties,opinion leaders,women,youth bodies and religious organization

Speaking at the stakeholders meeting at Abonema headquarters of Akoku-Toru local Government area,President of Greater Women and Youth Support Forum,Evelyn Nwilene told the congregation to shun violence,thuggery,vote buying and selling during the 2019 general elections.

She also urged INEC and security agents to be non-partisan during the elections

At Abonema the team were received by Mr.Charles Egwu INEC Electoral Officer in charge of the Akoku-Toru LGA

The team also visited Degema Local Government area in continuation of its sensitization of voters and were received by Mr.Uzoka Patrick, Electoral Officer in charge of the LGA

Mr Uzoka commended the team while adding that INEC is doing everything possible to ensure credible,transparent, free and fair 2019 elections in Rivets state

Earlier the INEC/GWAYSF moved from door to door in the towns visited in the three LGAs to interact with voters and distribute fliers

Revelation Agents correspondent who monitored the exercise reports that the team will move to Rivers East senatorial district tomorrow in continuation of voters sensitization
