…Calls On Rivers Government To Come To His Aid

One Mr Nwoko Christopher a resident of 5b Rex Lawson street in Borikiri,PortHarcourt has raised alarm over the where about of one Asika Ugochukwu a prime suspect who was arrested by Borokiri Divisional Headquarters and handed over to men of State Criminal Investigations Department(SCID) in Rivers state, Nigeria for killing his 21 years old son  Success Christopher.

In an exclusive chat with Revelation Agents Online News, Mr Nwoko said “on the 30th September,2018 at about 07:30pm his neighbours called him that cult boys were attacking his son, He rushed down to the scene and saw one of the cult boys who was arrested by the mob after stabbing his son several, I pleaded with the mob not to kill him and immediately called control number of Borokiri Police station and they came in less than 2 minutes to rescue the suspect from the mob”.

He  said “after then I reported the matter to the four Polo Chairman in the area and with their assistance we were able to arrest two other suspects who were handed over to SCID by Borokiri Police station”.

He said “it was on Tuesday the Police brought only two of the suspects to court without bringing the prime suspect Asita Ugochukwu who was also in their custody, when I asked, they said they were still investigating him”.

“I was surprised when I got home my neighbours were telling me that the mother of the suspect said his son has been released from Police custody”.

He also revealed that He  was asked to pay 150,000 naira for autopsy for his son and He do not have that kind of Money .He called on the Government and Police High command to come to his aid.

Meanwhile the chairman of River Civil Society Organizations comrade Enefaa Georgewill said “it is not the duty of Police to determine who is guilty or not, we are calling on the Police to produce the principal suspect and others still at large”.

Comrade Enefaa said “ a murder case is a crime against the state, so the state should take full responsibility of financing such matter and not to bother the man whose child has been killed to fund the prosecution”.

Comrade Enefaa described the situation as evil, barbaric and a form of corruption.

“We therefore called on the Police high command and the Commissioner of Police, Rivers state,Zaki Ahmed to do the needful by investigating the allegations, so that  anyone found culpable will be prosecuted”.

He further stated that the Police should protect the man whose son has been killed as it is the duty of Police to protect every members of his family against actors of terror.

The spokesperson of Rivers Police command Nnamdi Omoni did not pick several calls put across to him neither did him respond to text messages sent to his mobile line by Revelation Agents Online News
