The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed the restoration of the names of All Progressive Congress(APC) party in ballot papers in all elective position in Zamfara state,Nigeria

This follows the Court of Appeal judgement of an Abuja appeal court on Thursday, 21st February, 2019 which ruled that the Federal high court in Abuja which ruled that APC cannot submit names of candidates after INEC deadline for submission lacks jurisdiction

A statement Today February 22nd,2019 released and signed by Festus Okoye INEC national commissioner in charge of Voters Education and Information explained that as law abiding institution INEC has restored the names of APC candidates in all elective positions which includes,National Assembly,Governorship and state House of Assembly

The statement explained that before now there was conflicting judgement from Zamfara state high court that ruled in favour of APC while another judgement from an Abuja Federal high court which ruled against APC

With INEC compliance to the Appeal court judgement, it means that all APC National Assembly candidates will participate in tommorow’s Presidential and National Assembly election
