A union member in Mile III Motor Park,Diobu PortHarcourt,Rivers state, Nigeria as well as two others have been arrested by the Nkpolu Divisional Police Headquarters in Mile III diobu, PortHarcourt for stripping one Mrs Margret Monday naked on April 1st,2019 at the Mile 3 park Diobu
Mrs Monday told Revelation Agents she was wrongfully accused by a woman in the market of stealing her wallet and the woman raised alarm which attracted union members and others who mobbed her without verification
She said “I was completely stripped naked ” but they found out i was not the one who stole”
Revelation Agents had initially contacted the husband Mr Alfred Monday who told us He has forgiven the perpetrators
However, we learnt that the victim’s father insisted on arresting the suspects and three suspects were arrested April 2,2019 two days after the incident
Mrs Monday called on the Police to ensure Justice is done on the matter
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Nnamdi Omoni when contacted by our reporter said He will get back to us but He was yet to do so as at press time
A senior Police Officer at the station confirmed the arrest of the suspects by the Police and added that efforts are on to apprehend other suspects
