A human rights group in Nigeria Civil Rights Council (CRC) has condemned the continuous parade of suspects by Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) .
The Chairman of Rivers State chapter of CRC Prince Wiro in an interview with Revelation Agents condemned a situation where suspects are made to carry placards by EFCC with inscription of their names and alleged crime.
Comrade Wiro explained that section 36(5) of the Nigerian 1999 constitution as amended states that a suspect charged with criminal offence is presumed innocent until proven guilty by court of competent jurisdiction .
The River State Chairman of CRC urged the anti-graft agency to focus more on gathering enough evidence against the suspects in order to proof their case beyond reasonable doubt against the suspect in court of competent jurisdiction.
