President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Muhammad Nami, a renowed tax consultant as the Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to replace Babatunde Fowler whose term expires on 9 December 2019.
This was made known by the spokesperson of the President,Garba Shehu in his verified twitter handle today.
The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria also approved the composition of the FIRS board which consists of one representative each from the six Geographical zone of the country.
Muhammad Nami has Bachelor degree in Sociology and Masters degree in Business. He is a fellow of Chartered Institute of Nigeria, Associate of Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria. He has worked in Banks and other financial institution for over two decades.
