A Battery thief escaped death Today morning as officers from Azikiwe Divisional Police Headquarters at Illabouchi street Mile 2 Diobu,PortHarcourt,Rivers state,Nigeria prevented mob from serving him jungle justice.
Revelation Agents Online News learnt that the thief who claims to hail from Ebonyi state in Nigeria at about 3:40am Today went to a compound behind 85 Ojoto street Mile 3 Diobu,PortHarcourt and stole sumo(pumping) machine used in pumping water from underground to a surface storage GEEPE Rubber Tank.We learnt that the thief also stole a battery from a car parked in the compound as well as clothes which was left outside.
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity told Revelation Agents Online News reporter that the thief was caught when He jumped from the compound into 85 Ojoto street in a bid to escape.
The Public Relations Officer of Ojoto/lane,Dim and Wokoma Mile 3 Diobu,PortHarcourt vigilante group,Nelson Ogbuji confirmed the incident to our reporter adding that they We continue to sensitize residents on the implications of jungle justice.
A Police Officer confirmed to Revelation Agents Online News that the suspect is detained at the Azikiwe Divisional Police Headquarters,Illabouchi street mile 2 Diobu,PortHarcourt.
Nnamdi Omoni,the Spokesperson of Rivers state Police command is yet to respond to text messages sent to Him on the incident by Revelation Agents which from network response has been delivered to his mobile Telephone Number.
