Men of Nigeria Soldiers have taken over Ikoku junction/Oluobansijo to Mile junction/Oluobansijo which covers entire Ikoku region,PortHarcourt,Rivers State,Nigeria.
Our correspondent who visited the place on Saturday morning reports that armoured Cars were used in barricading the entry and exit point in Ikoku market. Vehicular and human movement have been restricted in the area.
Nyesom Wike,Governor of Rivers State yestetday in a state broadcast had threaten to shut Ikoku market till end of his tenure if they continue to flout Government order on closure of market by opening their shops for business.
It would be recalled that the Rivers State Government two ago ordered closure of all markets in the state including Ikoku spare market as one of the measures to combat spread of Corona Virus,pandemic ravaging the world.
