The Rivers State Police Command has debunked insinuation that unknown gunmen exhumed the corpse of late Ordiari Princewill from Port Harcourt cementery.
The spokesperson of the command,Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) Nnamdi Omoni while conducting Journalists round the PortHarcout cemetery on Saturday described the reports as misleading and calculated attempt to put the command in bad light. He urged the general public to discountenance the information. He added that he brought Journalists to see for themselves that nothing of such happened.DSP Omoni revealed that the command will improve security at the cemetery to forestall occurrence of any security breach at the place.
Also the Secretary of the Port Harcourt Cemetery,Tamunotoye John said the corpse of the late Asari-Toru Chairman was never exhumed Mr. John however called on the Police to provide adequate security in the place .
It would be recalled that news filtered in that gunmen exhumed the corpse of the late Chairman, Hon Princewill Odiari.
The late Chairman was buried last Thursday.
