A Federal High Court sitting in Portharcourt, Rivers state has ordered members of Rivers Anti-Corruption Network,Mr Sabastine Kpalap and Barr. Arochukwu Paul Ogbonna Plaintiffs in a matter that was filed against the Rivers State Government and the Rivers State Accountant General in suit No FHC/PHC/18/74/2020 in Pursuant to order 3 Rule 1 and 2 of the federal high court (civil procedure) Rules 2019, Section 251 (1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Section 1,3, 7 and 25 of the Freedom of information act 2011 and under the inherent jurisdiction of the honourable court to serve the Accountant General of the State and Rivers State Government separately. Honourable Justice Omotosho on Monday at the first hearing of the case asked that the defendant, Rivers State Government and the accountant General of the state be reserved seperately so that they won’t have any excues not to appear before the court again and the case adjourned to 21st January 2021. The Honourable Justice Omotosho also asked the plaintiffs lawyer to obtain a certified true copy of the originating summons in court.
