Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has called on the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State,CP Joseph Mukan to immediately order an investigation into the report of defilement of a minor by a suspected OSPAC,local vigilante member in Omudioga in Emohua local Government area of Rivers State,Nigeria with a view to arresting the culprit.
The Secretary of Board of Trustee of the group, Prince Wiro in an interview with our correspondent said report available to the group indicate that the matter has been reported to the Police and the victim is said to be receiving treatment in undisclosed hospital.
Mr Wiro also called on the Authority of Emohua LGA and leadership of OSPAC in Emohua to ensure the suspect is handed over to the Police.
Mr Wiro advised OSPAC leadership in Emohua LGA to absolve it self from complicity by handing over their member accused of defiling a minor to the Police.
He also called on Local Government Chairmen to put measures in place to address growing concern of rights abuses by OSPAC in their domain.
