The Rivers State Police command on Friday February 25,2022 paraded over twenty criminal suspects involved in various alleged criminal activities.The Rivers State Police Commissioner of Police,CP Eboka Friday while parading the suspects reassured the pubic of the resolve of the command under his watch to ensure safety of lives and property.The breakdown of the arrests and recovery is as follows
1.RESCUE OF STOLEN CHILDREN AND ARREST OF SUSPECTS:- Date: 25/09/2020Name: Favour Boniface aged 4yearsRescued: 23rd February, 2022Sister: Miracle Boniface 12yearsRecued June 2021i.
Suspects arrested are 1.Favour Ajuzie 30 years ii. Chioma Chibuike 43 years iii. Comfort Abatuo 56 years
2. Policemen on patrol around oil mill market by Eleme Junction contravened a tricycle Registration No. USL 130 QN.A locally made pistol recovered Suspects: i. Usman Suleiman 18 years ii. Illiyasu Musa 18 years
3. ARREST ON 01/02/2022 FAKE MILITARY MAN WITH G3 RIFLE AND 10 LIVE AMMUNITIONSuspect: Adamu SirajuArrested at G-Throne Hotel, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt.
8. ARREST OF KIDNAP SUSPECTS: Osagie Igienhon AKA GeneralKidnapped one Ekuchie Ogbonna ‘m’ on 24/12/2021 at Oyigbo.His car Toyota Camry was sold to Hamisu Hassan, who took it to Kogi State for sale.9. On 8/02/2022 along NTA road, Apara link road, one Hon. Austin Asomeji was kidnapped and his Lexus Es350 saloon car Registration No. YAB 118 Au, stolen. He was later rescued and the suspect:-i. Barisitam Nbianee ‘m’ 32 yearsii. Miracle Victor ‘m’ 20 years arrested.Also, a Toyota Corolla car Registration No. ABJ 907 CB was recovered from them.
10. ARREST OF PHONE THIEVES:On 24/02/2022 while on stop and search duty along Airport road Aluu, a motorcycle was stopped for routine check. One Nankap Dashe and Chukwudi Okafor ‘m’ both based in Imo State, were arrested and three Android phone recovered from their under wears.11. On 23/02/2022, along East West road Mbiama, one Nwigbo Thomas, who was driving his Toyota Corolla car, was shot and the car snatched from him. The sound of gun attracted RRT men who gave them a hot chase and arrested the suspects namely:i. Obu Justice ii. Okpara Godbless
