Mr Uchechi Anele, a driver and native of Obele Community,Emohua LGA was shot dead by gunmen Wednesday breaking Thursday at Obele .Elder brother to the deceased victim, Emmanuel Anele who spoke to our correspondent on Telephone said his younger brother went to the village to pack some of his belongings since people has deserted the village when gunmen shot him dead.
Mr Emmanuel said when he got the information he went and reported the matter to Rumuji Divisional Police headquarters and was given Police escort who accompained him to the community to evacuate the corpse of his brother to the mortuary.
He dismissed insinuation that his late brother, Uchechi Anele was a cultist.
He said the deceased victim is married with children and gainfully employed and has no record of crime.When contacted,the acting spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command DSP Grace Iringe Koko said she will get back to our reporter but was yet to do so as at press time.
