Information available to Revelation Agents indicates the Chief priest of the WELPE Marine Iceland Deck led by wanted David Gift aka 2Baba was among the two suspected cultists killed by the Police who came to repel attack on Odieremenyi community by suspected cultists on Sunday morning.
Intelligence sources informed this online platform that another foot soldier(non ranking member) was also killed in exchange of gunfire by the Police.
In the meantime,the Rivers State Police Command says it killed two suspected cultists on Sunday morning November 12,3023 when suspected cultists loyal to David Gift aka 2Baba invaded Odiemerenyi community,Ahoada East Local Government Area.
SP Grace Iringe Koko spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command made the disclosure in a statement on Monday November 13,2023.
She said operatives of Ahoada Police station received a distress call at about 01:00hours on Sunday morning, November 12,2023, that some suspected cultists loyal to wanted David Gift aka 2Baba invaded Odiemerenyi Community in search of suspected Police informants.
The Police Division on receipt of the information swung into action and mobilized with other tactical units to the scene.
SP Koko explained that on getting to the community, the hoodlums who unfortunately, have killed five natives before the arrival of the Police opened fire on sighting the Police .
She said the hoodlums were, however, overpowered by the superior firepower of the Police as two of the suspected cultists were fatally wounded.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police has ordered the Ahoada Police Division and other tactical units to redouble effort to ensure David Gift and other fleeing suspects are arrested .
The CP also called on residents of the community and other communities in Ahoada East to go about their legitimate business as adequate security is in place to counter any security challenges that may be instigated by criminal elements.
The CP equally condoled with the family of natives who lost their lives in the attack
