The Rivers State Police says it has begin investigation to ascertain the identity of the person who killed one Kingsley Abbey,a father of four children over the weekened in Bonny,Bonny Local Government Area of the state.
Spokesperson for the command,SP Grace Iringe Koko in an interview with Journalists said identity of the person who committed the crime is not yet known.SP Koko stated that the command is aware of the incident and is investigating to know the identity of the alleged killer.
Meanwhile the wife of the deceased man,Diepreye Abbey stated that her husband was stabbed by an off duty military officer.Mrs Abbey explained that trouble started when her husband who works as a bouncer in a club,searched the off duty military personnel who wanted to gain access to the club and found dagger on him.
She disclosed that when she went to the hospital where husband was rushed to,he was dead and upon enquiry from his colleagues,she was told that a man on Navy uniform came to the club the husband works and as he was searching the military personnel,the husband found a dagger on him.
Mrs Abbey revealed that the husband told the military officer he cannot enter the club with the dagger which resulted to argument and the military officer stabbed her husband resulting to his death.
Mrs Abbey called for justice for her late husband.
“I have four kids.Who will train them.I am not working.I need justice” she said.
