The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria(IPMAN) PortHarcourt unit on Wednesday 13th December elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the organization for the next three years.
Some of the executives elected and their positions are as follows :
Chairman – ThankGod Tekena Ikpaki
Vice Chairman – Ikechukwu Ezenwa
Secretary – Kelechi Okereke
Assistant Secretary – Pastor Ezekiel Eletuo
Treasurer – Mr Cletus Essien .
Public Relations Officer -Uzochukwu Agbawkwue
Financial Secretary – Levinus Wokocha
Legal Adviser – Ifeanyi Ibezemuo
Organizing Secretary – Baba Samuel Okes
amongst others.
In his acceptance speech,the Chairman onbehalf of others said the offices which they were elected into is for service and not for personal gain.Mr Ilpaki stated that the new executives under his leadership will be accountable by every inch.
“We will putt in our best objectively and creatively to take IPMAN,PortHarcourt to its desired level.
“By the grace of God we will bring in innovative ideas and ensure even and proper distribuction of products to all parts of Nigeria”.
Earlier, the outgone Chairman of IPMAN PortHarcourt unit Dr.Joseph Obele who was represented by outgone Vice Chairman in his vote of thanks, thanked the highest echelon of IPMAN for their support and guide through the journey of their leadership.
He said they came, they saw and they conquered
“.Eyes saw that we achieved the greatest feat during our tenure..The protracted leadership crisis was put to rest in PortHatciurt unit during our tenure.
“Federal high court 3 in PortHarcourt affirmed our structure as authentic leadership of IPMAN.I appreciate the leadership for giving us the opportunity to serve in the capacity we served”.
In his opening remarks, Boby Ibekwe, Zonal Chairman system 2 E of IPMAN, asserted that it is a great day in history of PortHarcourt depot unit.
Mr Ibekwe explained that God made the annual meeting possible.
“We have had good,ugly.It has been rough for us since month of May but God made it possible for us to go through. We thankGod for new the asministration of President Amhed Tinubu.
“PortHarcourt depot has been moribund but President Tinubu revamped the depot.From the report, our mother depot will come back to live very very soon.The Annual General Meeting is coming at the right time.We need to position our self before the refinery starts operation.
“I know the new administration will position marketers to benefit from upcoming refinery operations.I also thank the outgoing administration for their steadfastness”.
