The 1 Division Nigeria Army says it has arrested gang of gun runners in Rijau Niger State Yesterday Tuesday December 11,2018
In a statement released by the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations Colonel Muhammad Dole,He said the troops deployed for operation whirl punch arrested three notorious gun runners namely Aminu Umar,Shehu Samaila and Bilyaminu Adullahi32,25 and years respectively
Troops recovered 44 locally made single double barrel riffles and 351 catridges being conveyed in a Toyota corolla vehicle registration number ZUR 28DX Kebbi state
The Army spokesperson said “ preliminary investigations revealed that the gun runners were haeding to Bena in Danko/Wasagu local Government area of Kebbi state which shares boundary with Zamfara state”
The statement added that further interrogation is ongoing while public is encouraged to share credible information with the Nigeria Army and other security agencies
