The Commander of Octopus Strike Force Unit,in Rivers State Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP) Juliana Wealth has adviced Nigerians to stop sharing most of their private life on Social Media.
CSP Wealth made the disclosure in a Police Radio programme the Horizon titled “Rivers Security” over the weekened in PortHarcourt which was monitored by our reporter.
The Octopus Commander asserted that such behaviour may expose the person to security risk.CSP Wealth while giving security tips adviced people to install CCTV cameras in their house,shops,business areas and connect it to solar panel for uninterrupted monitoring.
He also adviced people to put secured doors,lightening system in their houses.CSP Wealth further adviced residents to establish neighbourhood security watch known as vigilante and register it with the the Police for proper profiling.
Speaking further on activities of Octopus, said his personnel normally have the symbol of Octopus on their uniform as well as their name tag for easy identifation.
He maintained that whenever personnel of the Police unit go for arrest they always inform people where they came from and the place they are taking they the suspect to.
On complaints of misconduct by his personnel,CSP Wealth stated that He has being lecturing them on things that constituted human rights violation and will continue to talk to them.
The tactical unit Commander also revealed that some suspects were arrested around Ikoku axis of Job last week and many of them has confessed to be cultists and will be arraigned in court as soon as possible
