The Chairman of Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers His Royal Majesty(HRM),Eze Chike Worlu-Wodo says the Council is not a political Party.
Eze Worlu-Wodo made the disclosure on his assumption of office on Monday 1st July,2024.
He said “this Council under my watch will encourage inter-kingdom visitation among our members to foster inter-tribal unity and fertilisation of ideas towards building bridges of peace in the State.
“my administration will uphold all existing policies of Council on the welfare of our members in life and in death as well as those concerning staff of Council.
“We will build strong ties with our brothers and sisters across the other States of the NiGer Delta region in order to achieve regional peace and stability.
“At the national level, we will strive to put up quality representation and ensure that we speak for our people when necessary.
“The Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers is not a political party.
“Consequently, we will not allow our Council to be dragged into the murky waters of politics. However, this Council will not also sit idly, and watch politicians put this state on fire. We will as the need may arise, rise up to call our children, the politicians to order, as we will do today”.
HRM Worlu-Wodo disclosed that their Secretariat is open every weekday and everybody should feel free to stop by to let them know how they can be of help.
