The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16 Yenagoa, AIG Adebola Ayinde Hamzat psc, fdc, fspsp, FICMC Ph.D, embarked on a tour of duty to Bayelsa State Police Command headquarters.
A statement on Wednesday,20th November,2024 by spokesperson for zone 16 Police headquarters,Superintendent of Police,SP Gunn Emonena disclosed that the AIG and his team were received by the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Francis Idu, and other members of his management team.
In his welcome address, the Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command thanked the AIG for finding time to visit the Command. He also intimated officers of the good relationship he has enjoyed with the AIG, further attributing his qualities to be creative, versatile, intelligent, self confident and courageous officer who is always upright and steadfast in taking decision. He also reeled out various achievements recorded by the command with his stay in office, as well as challenges encountered so far.
Responding during his lecture, the AIG who is a coursemate to the CP, thanked him and his management team for their warm reception and commend him for all the successes recorded so far. He further assured the Commissioner of Police that attentions will be payed to the outlined challenges.
SP Emonena stated that the AIG’s lectures with officers and men were centered on the following;
-Extortion
-Corruption
-Discipline
-Involvement of Police officer in crime.
-Professionalism
-Arrest and Detention.
-Transfer of casefile, among others.
“In attendance were very senior officers of the Command, DPO/HODs, members of the Inspectorate and Rank and Files who had a good time and interfaced with the AIG Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa” SP Emonena said..
