Investigation by Revelation Agents shows that allegation of falsification of age on Rivers State Police Commissioner,CP Joseph Mukan by an online medium is untrue,unfounded and ill-motivated. After a diligent investigation into the allegation of age falsification against the Commissioner of Police Rivers State, Mr. Joseph Gobum Mukan by an Online News Outlet
having read the story as written by a reporter with the online News medium, Revelation Agents commenced investigation to confirm the authenticity and credibility of the publication due to it sensitivity.
The allegation has been investigated and found to be baseless.

Revelation Agents contacted the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Gobun Mukan to hear from him .Mr Mukan described the allegation as baseless, false and ill-motivated by his enemies who are bent on tarnishing his hard earned image and aim at distracting him from achieving what is expected of him by the Police Force.
In the said publication on 12th November, 2020 the Police Commissioner was being falsely accused of being involved in age falsification scandal.
Mr. Mukan expressed disappointment at how wicked and mischievous those behind the story are.
He said the write up was the handiwork of mischief makers whose intention is to pull him down and rubbish the good works he is doing.
On further inquiry into the allegation, Revelation Agents gathered that there was error in the date of birth on the International passport of the Police Boss.
On realizing the error, the Rivers CP immediately Secured an affidavit of facts dated 27th November, 2018 through a notary Public to correct the error made on his international passport reading 21st June,1960 instead of 21st June 1962.
The Police Boss said he is aware of the sensitivity and gravity of the error in his date of birth, which informed his decision to obtain a sworn affidavit of facts.
Part of the affidavit of fact reads “that this affidavit is required to correct the mistake or error on my International Passport No. A09876006 wherein my date of birth is stated as 21st June, 1960 instead of 21st June, 1962”
“That this affidavit is made for record purposes and in lieu of my birth certificate”
Mr. Mukan also confirmed that all his documents with the Nigeria Police Headquarters since he joined the force as well as other vital document carries his real date of birth which is 21st June, 1962.
A copy of the Affidavit of Fact obtained by Revelation Agents confirmed the position of the Rivers CP on the matter.
The Police Boss who will reach the mandatory age of retirement in 2022 said he has no intention whatsoever to exceed when he attains that age.
The Police Boss urged the Media to always make confirmation and hear from both side before publishing their stories in order to be fair to the parties as well as gain public confidence and build credibility to their sites.
He concluded by saying he is committed to do what is expected of him by the Inspector General of Police and will not be distracted by cheap blackmailers and mischievous elements.
