Catholic faithfuls are to remain in the house on Easter Sunday April 12,2020 despite the relaxation of restriction order on large congregation by the Rivers State Government.
Bishop of PortHarcourt Catholic diocese,Camilus Etokudoh in a statement on Friday said in the face of the threats of covid-19 having prayefully considered the implications of risks of expected crowded congregation on Easter Sunday,priests and faithfuls are to continue to keep the CBCN and other diocesan Pastorial directives for the celebration of the holy week including Easter sunday till further notice.
Bishop Etokudoh commended the Rivers state Government for relaxation of restriction order om the gathering of large congregation but advised members to abide by the earlier directive of the church to stay at home. He prayed God to heal the land and world of Covid 19.
