Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa, CHDRA bemoans the kidnap of over eleven school kids and other administrators from Presbyterian Secondary school Nkwen in the North West region of Cameroon.
In a statement released by Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa , which was obtained by Revelation Agents Online News read that it is alleged that the number of kidnapped victims has increased exponentially up to 80 victims.
Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa noted that the barbaric act violates every rule of law that exists, fundamental Human Rights and disrupts the very foundation of the Human society and peaceful coexistence.
Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa stated that attack on schools and hospitals constitute one of the grave violations identified by the United Nations Security Council.
CHDRA asserted that International Humanitarian Law strenuously condemns such attack, as schools form part of civilian objects where children are to be kept safe even during conflicts.
CHDRA calls for the immediate release of these kidnapped persons and further states that the use of kidnap especially of civilians is inconsistent with domestic and International laws, it constitutes an act of terrorism and the perpetrators should be brought to justice.
