The Senior Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on ICT, Mr. Ibufuro Asawo has postpone the ICT Stakeholders meeting that was scheduled to hold on the 24th of March. The Senior Special Assistant on ICT said the meeting that the meeting was postpone due to the state ban on public gathering by the governor, His excellency Governor Nyesom Wike yesterday, based on the covid-19 pandemic.
While addressing newsmen at the state ICT center in Port Harcourt today, Mr. Asawo narrated that the ICT stakeholders meeting was schedule to look at the ICT policy draft for the state, which contain ICT policies that will help improve standard of living of the people in Rivers State.
He further noted that it is only in Rivers State High Court that lawyers do E-filling which is electronic and online which s not done in other state of the country. He says that the ICT policy will help improve infrastructure as well as improve capacity development in the state.
He used the medium to call on youths in the state to seize the opportunity of the ongoing application presently and apply on the TECHCREEK website and learn how to use ICT to make their life more meaningful.
