The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Nigeria, CP Mustapha Dandaura and the spokesperson of Rivers state Police command,Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) Nnamdi Omoni are under fire after Dr.MUSA STEPHEN a Police pathologist reportedly said there was no previous autopsy conducted on late Chima Ikwunado. Many PortHarcourt residents have called for the sack of the two officers.
The spokesperson of Rivers state Police command had told journalists that the Commander of Eagle Crack Unit,Superintendent of Police(SP) Benson Adetuyi informed him that autopsy report conducted on late Ikwunado showed he died of high sugar.
The claim of the spokesperson of Rivers state Police command was rubbished by the Police pathologist who reportedly said no previous Autopsy was conducted on the deceased victim.
It would be recalled that late Ikwunado died in detention facility of Eagle Crack Unit on 23rd December 2019 four days after his arrest.
