….Urge Youth To Focus On Doing The Best.
Dr(Mrs) Obianma Nneka Onya on Monday 7,February, 2022 received an award of leadership from Niger Delta Youth Ambassadors For Peace.
The President of Niger Delta Youth Ambassadors For Peace, Ambassador Christian Amanya while presenting the award said “the award given to Dr(Mrs) Obianma Onya who is also the Deputy CMAC in charge of NHIS/Servicom in University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) is in recognition of her extra ordinary contribution in leadership and excellent performance in discharge of her duties”
Comrade Amanya also disclosed that Dr(Mrs) Onya has impacted positively in the life of youth in Rivers state and Niger Delta at large.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr(Mrs) Onya noted that she is elated for the recognition by the Youth group.
She said “from the revelation made by the President of Niger Delta Youth Ambassadors for Peace about her deeds, it shows that your good work speaks for you”.
She advised citizens especially the youth to focus on doing the best in any endeavour they find themselves irrespective of the prevailing challenges and circumstance.
Dr(Mrs) Onya argued that youth are not the leaders of tomorrow but the leaders of today and have to prepare in order to show themselves worthy .
She advised the Youth to create a niche for themselves, keep on moving and not to listen to detractors .
Mrs Onya commended the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of UPTH, Professor Henry Ugboma for being very supportive,progressive and receptive to new ideas which has contributed to her success story in the establishment.
She also commended her husband Dr Reason Onya who believe she should reach out to highest places while thanking God Almighty for everything she has achieved in life.
