Mr Sokolo driver of a coastal bus belonging to Abual/Odua transport services was shot dead yesterday April 25,2019 when suspected kidnappers along Emohua axis attempted to hijack the passengers of the coastal bus
The Chairman of the transport services Fumilayo Obo had told Journalists that the gunmen left the passengers after killing the driver and destroying the windscreen of the vehicle
Gunmen had on March this year kidnapped ten passengers of a bus in enroute PortHarcourt from Abual /Odua who were conveyed by the same transport company
The Emohua local Government area of East West road in Rivers state for over a year have become very notorious for kidnapping of commercial vehicle passengers plying that route by suspected kidnappers
The Rivers state Police command through the Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni had always maintained they are doing their best to curtail the menace along that axis
