An ex-militant leader in Rivers state, Nigeria has intervened in the war between suspected Icelander and Deygbam cult groups which have claimed not fewer than four lives in Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria within the last one week Revelation Agents Online News has learnt.
We gathered that some cult leaders were summoned to a meeting yesterday somewhere outside Port Harcourt. Our source revealed that the ex-militant who is not happy with the killing urged the leaders of the cult groups to stop the war and also stop the killing of vigilante members.
Insider sources revealed that the leaders of Icelander, Deygbam cult groups and some vigilante members were believed to be in the meeting which lasted over 5 hours.
We learnt that the warring groups agreed to give peace a chance but Revelation Agents Online News is not certain if they we keep to the promises they made to the ex-militant leader in the meeting.
It will be recalled that two persons were killed on October 9th ,2018 at Gambia street, while two vigilante members were killed at Nnaka and Emenike streets on October 15th 2018 and two other persons including a pregnant woman was killed at mechanic garage at Ikoku all in Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria.
Investigations by Revelation Agents Online News also indicates that night activities have been grounded in the area for the past one week.
The spokesperson of Rivers Police command Nnamdi Omoni had earlier told Revelation Agents Online News that the Police are working to protect lives and property in diobu.
