Reports reaching Revelation Agents indicates that the peace talks initiated by ‘Elders’ of Deebam cult groups to settle the two warring factions involved in supremacy and territorial control battles in Diobu axis failed as the factions did not accept the conditions for peace at a meeting in PortHarcourt on Tuesday,4th 2025 we learnt.
A source very conversant with the workings of the gangsters told Revelation Agents that the implication of the failure by the two factions of the cult groups sealing a peace deal is that the supremacy battle may continue and become more violent.
Reports indicates that last Saturday,1st March,2025 a suspected cultist was shot dead by his rivals at Gambia street Mile 2 Diobu,PortHarcourt while other suspected cultist at School road/Ikwerre escaped death last Monday after bullets fired at him by his rivals missed him.
Though,Revelation Agents had witnessed increased in Police patrol and visibility policing in Diobu in the past days but the Rivers State Police Command has kept mum as the Command is yet to speak or comment on the incidents.
In 2024,intra cult war between Deebam cult groups in Diobu,PortHarcourt,Rivers State claimed over six lives as Police in the state then,announced the arrest and arraignment of over 30 suspected cultists in court.
