The family of Okechukwu Eleonu former Chairman of Mgbuola community,Ndele, Emohua Local Government Area allegedly killed by a a former commander of disbanded OSPAC ( local vigilance group) in the community last Saturday (October 15,2022) is crying for justice.
Victor Eleonu, the younger brother to the deceased victim, in a in interview said
‘Eyewitness told me that he reported illegal oil bunkering business going on in the community to the Nigeia Police and because of that the disbanded OSPAC commander being the leader of the illegal oil bunkering business caught him yesterday and shot him .
“The matter has been reported to Rumuji Police station but no arrest has been made”.
The wife of the deceased victim, Mary Eleonu who is a mother of three called on the mother to arrest the culprit.
She said ” the commander of defunct OSPAC in the community shot his husband dead yesterday ( last Saturday).Before I went to where they shoot him,he is dead .He is in the mortuary now.I have three children,two boys and one girl.I want Government to catch him( killer of my husband) .He said nobody can catch him.He said nobody can do him anything .I am now a window my daugther want to write WAEC I do not have money .Is my husband that has been catering for me.He said my husband has removed him from OSPAC and want to close where he( former OSPAC commander) is doing bunkering all this kpo-fire that is why he shot him”.
