The Edo State Police Command says it has arrested one Theophilus Osazuwa 35years of Ogbeson Quarters off Benin-Agbor road, Benin-city for the murder of his 4year old son named Testimony Osazuwa.
SP Moses Yamu,Public Relations Officer of the Command in a statement on Wednesday,December 25th disclosed that the suspect was said to have arrived his home on December 24,2024 at about 1230hours, went berserk screaming “Holy Ghost fire” then reached for the 4yearr old boy and slammed him to the wall.
“The child was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the young man who is known for the consumption of illicit (colos, ice etc) substances and acted under the influence of same” SP Yamu stated.
Meanwhile Commissioner of Police in Exp State,VP Umoru P. Ozigi, has cautioned the general public especially youths, against the dangers of consuming illicit substances and drugs that may be detrimental to their health, endanger thier lives and that of the people around them.
