Aged and underage female residents in Afikpo and Elechi waterfront in Mile 1 Diobu PortHarcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria have fled their homes over incessant rape by suspected armedrobbers and cultists Revelation Agents Online News has learnt
A youth of Afikpo waterfront told Revelation Agents Online News that since December 2018 armrobbers wearing masks storms the waterfront to rob, after robbing they normally rape both married and unmarried women
The residents explained that the latest was the incident that took place on Friday March 22,2019 at Afikpo waterfront where at least 7 females were raped by suspected armed robbers who invaded the place at about 4:am in the morning including married women
Meanwhile Prince Wiro the Publisher of Revelation Agents Online News who is also the spokesperson of Civil Rights Council, PortHarcourt chapter yesterday March 23,2019 led some of the residents to make a formal complaint at the Police Divisional headquarters Mile I Diobu, PortHarcourt .
The complaint was received by the station Officer of Mile 1 Divisional Police headquarters Mr S Bako
Prince Wiro condemned the mass rape of women and called on the Police to live up-to its responsibility of protecting lives and property
