In fulfilment of his earlier promise, Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has released fund for the payment of the 2020/2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board and the 2020 West africa examination(WAEC)and the national examination council (NECO)
The State Commissioner for Education, Professor Kaniye Ebeku gave the disclosure briefing journalists in the state,
He said that Governor Wike has also directed that candidates who have already paid for the examination be refunded their monies.
Professor Kaniye further stressed that the Ministry shall make public modalities for the registration of the examination by candidates who are yet to register for the JAMB examination.
Recall that Governor Nyesom Wike,Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, announced that the state government will bankroll the payment of JAMB examination for all eligible Rivers students and the payment of NECO and WAEC for all public school students regardless of their state of origin.
