Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike sworn in Fourteen Special Advisers and Thirteen Commisioners on Monday 30 December 2019
Addressing the Commissioners and Special Advisers immediately after the swearing in, Governor Wike urged them not to focus on aggregating wealth but to work for the interest of the State as that is their paramount duty. He cautioned the Commisioners and Special Advisers to focus on their jobs and not involve themselves in politicking for positions in 2023.
The Governor said the call is to serve the state and the loyalty of the appointees should not be in question. He informed the appointees that they would work like this is their first tenure in office so they must work together to the satisfaction of the people of Rivers State.
