A Non Governmental Organization, Greater Women and Youth Support Forum has described the Presidential and National Assembly election in PortHarcourt Federal constituency 1 as credible,transparent and fair
The Secretary of Greater Women and Youth Support Forum,Peace Bai Wiro, twho spoke to Revelation Agents at PortHarcourt ward 2 unit 2 during last Saturday’s election said”malfunctioning of the card readers in some of the units in ward 2 was the initial challenge but the issue was quickly addressed by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)”
She told told our correspondent that apart from that no issues of violence, vote trading was recorded
She also revealed that security agencies and INEC conducted themselves in a professional manner in ward 2,4,6,7,8,20 that comprises PortHarcourt Federal constituency 1 in Rivers state,Nigeria
There was also large turn out of voters,she said
Greater Women and Youth Support Forum is one of the domestic observer group accredited by INEC to observer the 2019 general elections in Nigeria
Meanwhile Hon.Ken Chikere, the Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for the election was declared winner with a total of 30,918 to beat the runner up
