What would have been harvest of armedrobberry/kidnapping in most part of PortHarcourt and its environs by new alliance formed by some members of cult groups which include Chronicle House Of Deygbam Cult groups and Sailors Cult groups (Junior Vikings (JVC), Conquer Marine Iceland group and a retired Vikings member) may have disorganized following the killing of five members of the alliance referred to as ‘Combine Force’ by the Police between Sunday and Monday December 4,5 respectively, we can report.
We gathered that some members of the above cult groups in a bid to catch out big this festive period held a meeting on how to perfect plans for high profile armedrobberry and kidnapping activities,their targets have been identified by their informants.
A source privy to the information told our reporter that the members of the alliance agreed on issues of intelligence gathering and monitoring of targets, logistics, arms and ammunition.
The source disclosed that members of the cult groups which made up the ‘Combine Force’ alliance also agreed to approach armourers of their groups to release ‘tools'(arms and ammunition) in the possession of the armourers without the knowledge of the all members of their respective group for the purpose of the planned harvest of armedrobberry/kidnapping activities in month of December christened ‘ACHIEVING’.
Sources close to the groups told our reporter that unknown to the members of the ‘Combine Force’ that one of them had turned an informant to security agents.
The one turned informant to security agents was said to have leaked detailed and sequence plans of armedrobberry and kidnapping activities of the group to the Police.
The source revealed that the Police equipped with necessary information on Sunday, December 4,2022 trailed the suspects in a Toyota Corolla car to the front of a Pentecostal church at Abacha road,Mile 4 where the Police intercepted the criminals and an exchange of gunfire ensued which resulted to the death of a member of Vigilance group,known as Godstime aka ‘Day and Night’ a native of Akwa/Ibom state who was said to be in the Sienna vehicle drove by the Police as at time of intercepting the hoodlums.
Sources said a Police Officer sustained gunshot injury while two of the gunmen were Killed.In a follow up mission by the Police,a surviving member of the criminal gang known as ‘2flexy’ was said to have led the Police to their hideout at Sagana axis of railway in Mile 1 Diobu, PortHarcourt on Monday,December 5,2022 where exchange of gunfire ensued and two of the gunmen were neutralized including ‘2flexy’ who was said to have been caught by bullets fired by his men.
Information filtering into our news desk suggest that logistics suppliers,advisers to the ‘Combined Force’ and some members of the gang has fled PortHarcourt while some has gone into hiding to evade arrest by the Police.
Meanwhile it was all tears and cry on Tuesday December 6,2022 at Abba street, Mile 1 Diobu, PortHarcourt the residence of Godstime,aka ‘Day and Night the Vigilance group personnel who paid the supreme price on the first day of the gang’s encounter with the Police.
The spokesperson person for the Rivers State Police command,SP Grace Iringe Koko has not responded to repeated enquiry of our reporter on the incidents.
