A suspected cultist on Tuesday morning escaped death while being chased by suspected rival cultists, at Mile 1 Market, Diobu PortHarcourt we have learned.
Eyewitness account revealed that the rival suspected cultist shot the man at the Mile 1 market adjacent the Divisional Police headquarters in Mile I.
We gathered that the suspected cultist ran towards the Police Station as he was being chased after sustaining gunshot.
We learned that the pandemonium that insured resulted to the purported shooting into the air by Police Officers attached to the station which scared the cultists away.
As as press time the where about the suspected cultist who was shot and in pool of blood was still unknown but there are speculation that he being detained at the Mile I Police station.
The spokesperson of Rivers State Police command SP Nnamdi Omoni was yet to respond to text messages sent to his mobile phone by our reporter.
