Hundreds of persons are said to be rendered homeless today in Etchue waterfront,Mile 2 Diobu,PortHarcourt,Rivers state following the demolition of half of the community by bulldozer on Saturday 25th January 2020 .
Prior to the demolition,a quit notice dated 16 January 2020 sighted by our reporter was purpotedly issued by Oro-Enyika family of Nkpolu-Oroworukwo to residents of the area asking the occupants to vacate immediately.
Is not clear if the purpoted author of the notice to quit is responsible for the demolition.
A native of Nkpolu Oroworukwo community who did not want his name in print said the Oro-Enyika family owns the waterfront known as EkwuOdu Mini Oro-Enyika.
At the meantime,residents are stranded due to the demolition.
