IGP Summon Rivers CP Over Alleged Killing Of Hausa Wheelbarrow Pusher By Police DPO,3 Other Officers

Nigerian Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Adamu has summoned the Rivers state Police Commissioner of Police CP Usman Belel over the alleged killing of Abdullahi Idris ,a sixteen years wheelbarrow pusher who was allegedly killed by Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP) Baridon Monsi the Divisional Police Officer of Nkpolu Police Division in Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers state and 3 other Police Officers Revelation Agents has learnt

We learnt the discussions the IGP had with Rivers CP,Belel Usman may not be unconnected to extent of investigations into the incident and the need to ensure justice is served to parties involved in the  matter

Coordinator of Arewa Consultative Forum South-South and South-East,Alhaji Musa Saidu told Revelation Agents on phone that the victim Idris was buried yesterday June 21,2019 in Port Harcourt .He also told Revelation Agents that the autopsy was conducted in University of Port Harcourt(UPTH) and the DPO with other officers accused of killing Idris is still in State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID) of the Rivers State Police command

Alhaji Musa Saidu had on June 12, 2019 told Journalists that Mr Idris was accosted by some boys who accused him of stealing generator while he was pushing wheel barrow

Alhaji Saidu explained that the Police later arrested Idris Musa and locked him up. He further explained that when his relatives came the DPO told them Idris is no longer in their custody.

He said “the development prompted the Hausa community to report the incident to the Commissioner of Police CP Usman Belel who came to the Nkpolu Police Division to find out the true position of the matter”.

According to Alhaji Saidu,the Commissioner of Police found out that the DPO has already killed and buried Idris

Alhaji Saidu revealed that the DPO took CP Belele to where Idris was buried and the Commissioner ordered that the body should be exhumed

Alhaji Saidu also stated that the DPO was arrested alongside other officers accused of involving in the killing

The Police spokesperson of Rivers State command,Omoni Nnamdi had also confirmed the incident to Journalists

However, the spokesperson of Rivers state Police command Omoni Nnamdi is yet to respond to text messages sent to him by Revelation Agents to confirm the summon of  CP Usman Belel by IGP Mohammed Adamu
