Investigations has commenced into the rape case of a pregnant woman and another lady last week Tuesday, as four persons suspected to be children of Soldiers residing in the 3 Battalion, Nigeria Army, Mami barrack, Effurun Delta state were arrested last Saturday night in connection to the incident,Revelation Agents Online News has learnt.
Our source revealed that the four persons were arrested following complaint by a Human Right group on the matter. We gathered that the pregnant woman took ill after the incident and was on admission at Navy hospital in Effurun
Meanwhile Comrade Israel Joe,the Assistant Secretary of Committee For Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) in Delta has revealed that the organization is satisfied with the manner and way the authority of 3 battalion Nigeria Army in Effurun Delta state is handling the case of two women raped by persons living inside the barrack.
Comrade Israel Joe who is also the President of Youth Democratic Alliance International in a telephone chat with Revelation Agents Online News this morning stated that the authority of the 3 battalion Nigeria Army has commenced investigations into the matter with a view to arrest one of the suspect who is still at large.
Comrade Israel Joe had earlier posted in his timeline on face book last Wednesday accusing the Army authority of stampeding them out for about one hour and unwilling to hand over the suspects to a Deputy Superintendent of Police who came with them to the barrack.
He also threatened to organize a state press conference if the leadership of the Nigerian Army in 3 battalion fails to do the needful.
