Many Nigerians are anxious and nervous as they await official statement by the Police on the purpoted demystification of perceived invincibility of David Gift aka ‘General 2Baba’ by joint security forces led by the Police last Saturday,February 17th,2024 at Idu-Ekpeye,Ahoada East Local Government Area.
‘General 2Baba’ is fingered as the prime suspect in the killing of Ahoada Divisional Police Officer(DPO) Superintendent of Police(SP) Bako Angbashin on 8th of September,2023.
The Governor of Rivers State,Siminalayi Fubara had placed one hundred million naira bounty on David Gift and his gang after the death of the DPO.
revelationagents.com gathered that joint security forces led by the Police raided the camp of the cult lord at Idu-Ekpeye at about 1600 hours last Saturday following weeks of intelligence gathering and close monitoring
We learnt that the cult kingpin was severely hit in exchange of gunfire with the Police but was reportedly taken away by his lieutenants.We also learnt that some members of the gang were reportedly killed in the shoot -out.
Sources close to the group confirmed the raid of their camp by security forces but declined comment on the reported death of their Executioner.As at 18th February,2024 a mobile line said to be used by ‘General 2Baba’ was switched off.
A business woman had last week Thursday 15th February,2024 informed revelationagents.com how somoene who said he is ‘General 2Baba’ used the phone number to call her to pay a particular amount of money to his bank account or risked being kidnapped.
Check of the bank account on online Bank App by revelationagents.com indicates that the bank details forwarded to the business woman to pay the money bears the real name of ‘General 2Baba’.
The Rivers state Police Command is yet to speak on the incident.
