Some Police officers under the Lagos State command yesterday,8 January 2020 allegedly abducted one Okorji Uchenna who came from Enugu state to Lagos in order to collect cheque for the money he won in Naijabet.
A Human rights activist Segun Awosanya popularly known as Sega Link in his verified twitter handle revealed that the officers reportedly abducted the said Uchenna and took him to unknown destination.
The rights activists explained that the officers had already stripped searched the man and found nothing on him.
He disclosed that the officers seized the cheque found in possession of Uchenna and demanded that he call somebody to bring 750,000 naira to effect his release.
At presstime,the right activist confirmed that Uchenna has been released through the intervention of office of the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officers, DSP Bala Elkana.
Awosanya called on the Police to ensure the officers involved are prosecuted.
