One Sunday Orime from Ebonyi State aged 21 allegedly committed suicide at his residence in 27 Wobo street Mile 3 Diobu, PortHarcourt on Thursday night 21,July,2022.
The cause of the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
The Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo Mile 3 Diobu in an interview with our reporter said he received a distress call by residents of the compound at about 8pm about the development.
Mr Ihunwo said he quickly rushed down to the compound and informed the Police.
Mr Ihunwo revealed that the corpse of the deceased has been deposited in the mortuary.
Investigation revealed that the suicide victim is a car mechanic apprentice.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command DSP Grace Iringe Koko told our reporter that the Police were informed by the residents and they went there to retrieve the corpse.
DSP Grace Iringe Koko added the alleged suicide is being investigated by the Police.
